Amy Arruda, LCSW
I’ve known for a long time that this work is part of my purpose.
My path into therapy started early, shaped by both my professional experience and my own life. Over the years, I’ve worked in residential settings with adolescents, supported children and teens in school environments, and worked with adults navigating major life transitions.
But what has shaped my work just as much is my personal experience.
I understand what it feels like to be stuck — to be doing everything you’re supposed to do and still feel like something isn’t shifting.
That’s what led me to take a different approach.

I don’t believe healing should stop at managing symptoms.
My work focuses on helping people process what’s underneath — not just cope with what’s on the surface.
That means looking at:
How your nervous system responds
What your body has been holding onto
How lifestyle, stress, and emotional patterns all connect
I use EMDR and a holistic approach to support real, lasting change — not just temporary relief.
And I’m honest in my work.
I won’t just tell you what you want to hear.
I’ll help you understand what’s actually going on — and support you as it begins to shift.
Therapy here is collaborative, grounded, and paced in a way that feels safe.
You won’t be rushed.
You won’t be forced to share before you’re ready.
And you won’t be treated like a diagnosis or a checklist.
Instead, this is a space where:
You can show up as you are
Your experience is respected
And healing is approached with patience and intention
My work is deeply rooted in my faith and my belief that healing is possible.
I believe we are designed to heal — not just cope — and that with the right support, people can move through even the most difficult experiences and come out stronger, more grounded, and more connected to themselves.
At the same time, I respect that everyone’s path looks different.
This is a space where you are met where you are — without judgment or pressure.
